What does a Buyer do?

Under the direction of the Materials Manager and the Procurement & Products Team Leader, is responsible for the procurement of all hospital equipment and supplies. Responsibilities include liaising with vendors, managing reorder levels and quantities, generating purchase orders, monitoring status, reviewing receipts and managing variance reports.

What qualifications and experience does the hospital require?

• High School Graduate.
• 3 years hospital or related purchasing environment experience.
• Specialized training in mathematics and computers required.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and to take initiative.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
