What does a Nursing Aide/Assistant/Orderly do?

Nursing support staff work under the supervision of a Staff Nurse. Support staff perform duties necessary in caring for the personal needs, comfort and safety of the patients.

What qualifications and experience does the hospital require?

• High School Graduate.
• Geriatric Aide Certificate an asset (for Continuing Care Unit)
• Good physical health
• Ability to assist with heavy lifting
• Accurate verbal communication skills
• People oriented, a team player, and an ability to work with various levels of staff.
