Visitor & Patient Enquiries Services
KEMH Information Desk:
This is your general information centre for the Hospital. The volunteer/staff on duty directs and controls the flow of traffic and answers inquiries regarding patients and hospital services.
Visitors please be aware of the following:
- No more than two visitors at a time at each bedside
- Visitors should stop at the Nursing Station on each unit to find out if a patient is able to receive visitors. All visiting is at the discretion of the physicians and the nurse-in-charge
- Children under 12 years of age are not permitted to visit patients
- Visitors should not stay long; a patient tires quickly entertaining visitors
- Our patients require a quiet, restful environment and visitors can assist by walking softly and talking in low tones
- Consult a nurse before bringing food or beverages to patients
- Alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs are not allowed in the Hospitals
- Visiting may be interrupted to allow for physician examinations, nursing care, special tests, and treatments
Telephone Enquiries:
The Information Desk receptionist is able to give information about patients’ locations. Enquiries are normally transferred to the unit, where the nurse-in-charge would be able to assist you.
Taxi Service:
Taxi pickup may be arranged with the receptionist at the Information Desk.
ATMS:
Butterfield Bank and Bank of Bermuda (HSBC) ATMS are located in the area to the right of the Coffee Shop.
