What does an Accountant do?

An Accountant is responsible for the input, computation and preparation of the internal hospital budgets, compilation and distribution of monthly budget variance reporting packages, collection, analysis and filing of budget variance returns. Assists department heads with preparation of annual budgets and provide ongoing assistance with investigation and analysis of budget variances.

What qualifications and experience does the hospital require?

• A professional accounting designation, CA or equivalent, or in the final stages of qualification.
• Bachelors’ degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum of three to five years’ experience in accounting.
• Experience in budget preparation preferred.
