The pharmacy’s main role is to prepare and dispense drugs and medicines. With medicine becoming increasingly more complex as does the role performed by the pharmacy. A Pharmacy Technician has supervised responsibility for performing technical and clerical tasks. These include processing orders, manufacturing, repackaging, collecting/delivering supplies, and performing the tasks of other support staff when the need arises. Pharmacy Technicians interact with nurses, doctors and other health professionals on a regular basis ensuring patients receive the most appropriate treatments in the most effective way.
