The Dialysis Unit is a specialised provider of services to patients with kidney disease, including patients suffering from chronic kidney failure. The Unit has the ability to treat patients in the ICU. Hemodialysis removes impurities from the blood by using a dialyser, also known as an artificial kidney. For patients with kidney failure, hemodialysis is a life-sustaining treatment. We never reuse dialysers. A dedicated Clinical Dietician is assigned to work with those who receive dialysis.
