Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP)
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP) begins with a clinically intensive intervention which may include individual, group and family counselling services, education and supportive services. These are provided in a structured environment. The IOP is a 5 week program facilitated over a 20 day period and is conducted from Monday through Thursday between 10:30a.m. and 3:30p.m. It includes drug education and individual/group counselling. The service user’s needs for psychiatric and medical services are arranged through consultation and referral.
