Paediatrics (Gosling Ward)

Gosling Ward cares for children from birth until age 18.

A paediatric resident is on duty from 8:00am to 4P:00pm Monday through Friday. Arrangements are available for a parent to stay overnight with his or her child. Facilities include a playroom and a TV with a large video library. During the school year, the Department of Education provides teachers each weekday morning to assist with schoolwork. Follow-up is provided from the time a child is discharged until he or she can return to school. Paediatric nurses cross train between the Pediatric and Neonatal Units. Infants and children requiring intensive care are placed in the ICU.
